On February 27, China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (CPIC) announced that its 10th Board of Directors, at its 20th meeting, reviewed and approved a proposal to appoint Mr. Chen Wei as the company's Chief Compliance Officer. The appointment is effective until the current board's term expires. Following this appointment, Chen Wei will no longer serve as the company's Compliance Officer.
According to his resume, Chen Wei was born in April 1967. He currently holds the positions of Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer at CPIC, as well as serving as a director of CPIC Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. and CPIC Asset Management Co., Ltd. His previous roles include Chief Representative of CPIC's London Representative Office, Director and General Manager of CPIC Hong Kong, Board Secretary and General Manager of the Strategy and Planning Department, Audit Director, Audit Responsible Person, Chief Auditor, and Chief Administrative Officer at CPIC. He has also served as Board Secretary of CPIC Life Insurance Co., Ltd., Chairman of the Supervisory Board at CPIC Asset Management, and General Manager and Director of Pacific Health Insurance Co., Ltd. Chen Wei holds a master's degree, senior economist and engineer professional titles, and is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in the UK.
