LK TECH (00558) surged over 14% again, with cumulative weekly gains now exceeding 54%. As of press time, the stock was up 14.19% to HK$5.31, with turnover reaching HK$348 million.
On the news front, LK TECH recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with four companies specializing in magnesium alloy and humanoid robot research and development, officially launching a joint R&D project for magnesium alloy humanoid robots. The project focuses on "material-structure-process" integrated innovation, aiming to break through traditional robot weight and strength bottlenecks while achieving dual breakthroughs in structural lightweighting and manufacturing efficiency.
LK TECH will leverage its leading technology in magnesium alloy forming to provide advanced forming equipment and process solutions for the project, helping achieve lightweight breakthroughs in robot structures.
Dongwu Securities noted that the adoption speed of magnesium alloys in humanoid robots will be faster than in automotive applications. The reasoning includes: First, ToB scenarios are mostly closed environments with lower corrosion resistance requirements, which weakens magnesium alloy disadvantages and creates application space for both forged parts and semi-solid parts. Second, in ToC scenarios, humanoid robot components are more refined with smaller volume and weight compared to automotive parts, creating application opportunities for small-tonnage semi-solid forming machines. Finally, magnesium alloy's superior shock absorption, electromagnetic shielding, and heat dissipation properties are more aligned with humanoid robot requirements, offering clear advantages over aluminum alloys and high-strength steel.
