24H|Coinbase Jumps 11%; Chinese ADRs and Quantum Computing Stocks Drop

EV battery tech provider Microvast reported record first-quarter revenue of $116.5 million, marking a 43% year-over-year increase, building on its impressive 23.9% revenue growth over the last twelve months. The company also achieved a significant turnaround with a GAAP net profit of $61.8 million, compared to a $24.8 million loss in the same period last year. The shares jumped 12.6% in overnight trading.

Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange, will be added to the S&P 500 Index in the latest milestone for the booming digital-asset industry. The company will replace Discover Financial Services in the index prior to the start of trading on May 19, S&P Dow Jones Indices said in a press release. Shares of Coinbase were up 10.6% in overnight trading.

NuScale Power, a provider of proprietary advanced small modular reactor nuclear technology, gained 2.7% in overnight trading as it narrowed Q1 loss, revenue surged.

Archer Aviation shares rose 1.1% in overnight trading after reporting better-than-expected first quarter earnings, as the electric air taxi company continues to make progress towards its planned UAE launch later this year.

Chinese ADRs pulled back in overnight trading after a surge. YINN fell 2%; NIO fell 3%; Li Auto fell 2%; Bilibili, JD.com. PDD Holdings, XPeng, and Baidu fell 1%.

EV charging infrastructure provider Blink Charging fell short of the market’s revenue expectations in Q1 CY2025. The shares tumbled 13.1% in overnight trading.

Rigetti Computing, a pioneer in full-stack quantum-classical computing, reported first quarter earnings that beat analyst expectations on the bottom line but fell short on revenue, sending shares down 13.4% in overnight trading. Other Quantum computing stocks also dropped. Quantum Computing fell 6%, Arqit Quantum fell 5%, D-Wave Quantum fell 3%, IONQ, Quantum Corp, and SEALSQ Corp fell 2%.
