UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880) opened sharply higher by over 6%. As of press time, the stock was up 6.38% to HK$110, with turnover reaching HK$79.354 million.
On the news front, September 3rd saw UBTECH ROBOTICS announce via official channels that following its nearly 100 million yuan record-breaking order in July - the largest single order for a global humanoid robotics company at the time - the company has once again set a new milestone. UBTECH ROBOTICS has secured a 250 million yuan contract for embodied intelligent humanoid robot products and solutions from a prominent domestic enterprise. The contract primarily involves the Walker S2 humanoid robot, which features an autonomous hot-swappable battery system. The company plans to commence delivery under this contract within the current year. This represents the largest humanoid robot contract globally to date.
According to publicly available data, UBTECH ROBOTICS' Walker series humanoid robots have now accumulated nearly 400 million yuan in contracts, including approximately 50 million yuan in humanoid robot orders delivered in the first half of the year. This figure excludes orders for the Tiangong Walker, a full-scale research and educational humanoid robot jointly launched by UBTECH ROBOTICS and the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in March this year.
Currently, UBTECH ROBOTICS has established partnerships with renowned enterprises across new energy vehicle manufacturing, 3C manufacturing, and smart logistics sectors, including BYD, Dongfeng Liuqi, Geely Auto, FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao branch, Audi FAW, BAIC New Energy, Foxconn, and SF Express. The company's industrial humanoid robot Walker S series has been deployed for training in more factories globally than any competitor.
