Air China (00753) Releases Third Quarter 2025 Results with Net Profit Up 37.31% Year-on-Year

Air China (00753) published its third quarterly report for the period ended 30 September 2025. The company recorded revenue of RMB 49.07 billion for the three-month period, indicating a 0.90% increase compared to the same period last year. Net profit attributable to shareholders for the quarter reached RMB 3.68 billion, representing an 11.31% drop year-on-year, while basic earnings per share stood at RMB 0.22.

Over the first nine months of 2025, the company’s revenue totaled RMB 129.83 billion, up 1.31% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders climbed to RMB 1.87 billion, marking a 37.31% uptick from the previous year. After deducting non-recurring items, net profit attributable to shareholders surged by 279.95%. Net cash flow from operating activities came in at RMB 34.08 billion, an increase of 10.85% year-on-year. Basic earnings per share for the nine-month period were RMB 0.11, rising 22.22% compared to the same period last year.

The company reported that total assets at the end of September 2025 reached RMB 349.36 billion, representing a 1.04% increase from the end of last year. Owners’ equity attributable to shareholders rose by 2.67% year-on-year to RMB 46.35 billion. Company sources credited the improvement in year-on-year profitability mainly to higher operating revenue and strengthened cost control measures.
