Deep News
Aug 29
XIAOMI-W announced on August 29 that due to battery cell supply issues from upstream suppliers, certain PB2030MI model power banks may pose safety risks. A small quantity of these products used version 2.0 of the 126280 battery cells from a specific supplier, which could potentially create safety hazards under extreme conditions for a very limited number of units. After communicating with market regulatory authorities, Xiaomi has decided to voluntarily initiate a recall plan.
The recall covers PB2030MI model power banks produced between August and September 2024, totaling 146,891 units. Xiaomi will process full refunds at the manufacturer's suggested retail price of 159 yuan per unit.
