H World Group (HTHT.US) climbed nearly 4% on Friday to $37.79. According to financial results, the company's hotel revenue reached 26.9 billion yuan in the second quarter, representing a 15% year-over-year increase.
During the same period, the group's total revenue hit 6.4 billion yuan, up 4.5% year-over-year. Adjusted net profit reached 1.35 billion yuan, marking a 7.6% year-over-year growth, while adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) totaled 2.3 billion yuan, up 11.3% year-over-year.
Following the achievement of its "10,000 hotels" milestone in the second quarter of last year, H World Group continues to expand its hotel portfolio. As of the end of the second quarter, the group operated 12,137 hotels in total, representing an 18% year-over-year increase. The total number of operating rooms reached 1,184,915, up 18.3% compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the group opened 597 new hotels, with 2,947 hotels awaiting opening. By the end of the period, the company's operating and pipeline hotels covered a total of 1,522 cities.
For the third quarter, H World Group provided the following performance guidance: revenue is expected to grow between 2% and 6% compared to the third quarter of 2024, or between 4% and 8% excluding H World International. Management franchise and licensing revenue is projected to increase between 20% and 24% compared to the third quarter of 2024.
