CNT Group projects interim loss to narrow 53%–59% to HK$15.00–17.00 million

CNT Group Limited (CNT Group) issued a profit alert indicating that the loss attributable to shareholders for the six months ended 30 June 2026 is expected to contract to between HK$15.00 million and HK$17.00 million, a reduction of approximately 53%–59% from the HK$36.60 million loss reported in the prior-year period.

The smaller deficit is driven mainly by two factors:

1. A decline in net fair-value losses on the Group’s investment properties in Hong Kong and Mainland China as at 30 June 2026 compared with the previous year-end; 2. A lower estimated loss from 53.07%-owned subsidiary CPM Group Limited for the same period, as disclosed in CPM’s 5 August 2026 profit alert.

These positive effects were partially offset by higher administrative expenses during the period.

Management emphasised that the fair-value adjustments are non-cash items and therefore have no impact on operating cash flow. The Group stated that its overall financial position remains healthy.

The figures are based on unaudited management accounts and have not yet been reviewed by the external auditor or the Board’s audit committee. Finalised interim results are scheduled for release by the end of August 2026. Shareholders and prospective investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in CNT Group’s shares.
