On 30 October 2025, the eleventh meeting of the board of directors of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (the Company) approved the appointment of Mr. Gao Fei as President, with a term of office aligned with the tenth session of the Board. According to the announcement, Mr. Gao, aged 49, currently holds the positions of President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China Eastern Air Holding Company Limited. He joined the civil aviation industry in 1998 and has served in roles including Deputy General Manager of the Flight Management Division of China Southern Airlines Company Limited (China Southern Airlines), Deputy General Manager of the Shenzhen branch of China Southern Airlines, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of the Safety Supervision Divisions of both China Southern Air Holding Company Limited and China Southern Airlines, and Head of the Fleets Division at China Southern Airlines. From January 2023 to April 2025, Mr. Gao acted as Deputy General Manager and a member of the Party Leadership Group of China Southern Air Holding Company Limited, followed by various executive roles at China Southern Airlines and China Southern Air Holding until September 2025, before serving as Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China Eastern Air Holding Company Limited from September 2025 and President of China Eastern Air Holding Company Limited from October 2025. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Lingnan College of Sun Yat-Sen University and a master’s degree in Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he is also a senior pilot.

As stated in the announcement, the board of directors of the Company as of the date of publication comprises Wang Zhiqing (Chairman), Cheng Guowei (Director), Sun Zheng (Independent non-executive Director), Lu Xiongwen (Independent non-executive Director), Luo Qun (Independent non-executive Director), Fung Wing Yee Sabrina (Independent non-executive Director), Zheng Hongfeng (Independent non-executive Director), and Jie Xiaoqing (Employee Representative Director).
