U.S. stocks closed modestly lower on Monday (Dec. 1), weighed down by a jump in Treasury yields and economic data that showed tariffs remained a drag on the manufacturing sector, as investors looked toward the Federal Reserve's policy announcement next week.

Regarding the options market, a total volume of 47,819,554 contracts was traded on Monday.

Strategy Inc. said it had created a $1.4 billion reserve to fund future dividend and interest payments, in a bid to temper fears that the Bitcoin accumulator may be forced to sell some of its roughly $56 billion cryptocurrency haul if token prices continue to fall.

Even so, the announcement did little to allay concern. The shares slumped as much as 12% on Monday, before closing the day down 3.3%.

Beyond Meat, Inc. shares are surging 36% on Monday, trading sharply higher on heavy volume even though the company has not issued any fresh news or filings.

A total number of 771.13K options related to Beyond Meat, Inc. were traded on Monday, of which call options accounted for 88%. Particularly high volume was seen for the $1.5 strike call option expiring Dec. 5, with 167,214 contracts trading. For example, the $1.5 strike call options expiring December 5 rocketed over 700% on Monday. $BYND 20251205 1.5 CALL$
