Bank of Communications' Xinjiang Branch Fined 456,000 Yuan for Regulatory Breaches

On February 28, the People's Bank of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region branch issued an administrative penalty notice. The Xinjiang branch of Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. was penalized for violations including non-compliance with payment and settlement business regulations, breaches of financial statistical management rules, infringements of credit information management stipulations, and contraventions of treasury business management requirements. The branch received a formal warning, was ordered to confiscate illegal gains amounting to 134,700 yuan, and was fined a total of 456,000 yuan. Additionally, Guo Mouyan, then head of the retail credit business department, was fined 10,000 yuan for violating credit information business management regulations.
