Nuclear power stocks surged in early trading. As of press time, CNNC INT'L (02302) gained 12.99% to HK$6.96; CGN MINING (01164) rose 8.38% to HK$3.88; and CGN POWER (01816) increased 0.34% to HK$2.93.

On the news front, the International Atomic Energy Agency Fusion Energy Conference (FEC2025) will be held in Chengdu from October 13-18. Founder Securities notes that fusion industry catalysts are significantly more intensive compared to July-August, with the International Atomic Energy Agency Fusion Energy Conference potentially announcing major national and international developments. The domestic BEST project is expected to launch its second intensive bidding round in Q4 (including high-value products such as first walls, divertors, and power supplies), while other fusion devices are also anticipated to commence operations. Additionally, major players are entering the market alongside significant progress in overseas device ignition. A second fusion sector rally is expected to commence within the year.
