HK toymaker stocks rose in morning trading. POP MART rose 5% and BLOKS rose 3%, hitting record high.

Popmart has paused the in-store sales of its monster Labubu dolls to ensure the "safety and comfort" of shoppers as the unique dolls continue to grow in popularity.

Endorsed by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, the Labubu dolls have gained major traction in recent weeks and months, with "long queues" forming outside of Popmart and Roboshops stores in the UK.

Popmart UK took to social media platform Instagram on Monday, May 19, to share a notice that in-store sales would be paused. They wrote: "Important Notice: All Popmart UK Stores and Robo Shops will pause the sale of the monsters plush toys until further notice."
