At today's XPENG Tech Day, the company showcased its latest innovation—the A868 flying car.

Positioned as a premium future mobility solution, the A868 features full-tilt rotor technology, a core advancement that enables vertical takeoff and landing like a helicopter while maintaining efficient high-speed cruising akin to fixed-wing aircraft. This hybrid design combines the benefits of both flight modes.

The vehicle utilizes a hybrid powertrain (electric and fuel), aiming to balance extended range with strong performance while optimizing energy efficiency and sustainability. With a targeted range exceeding 500 km, the A868 could potentially serve intercity routes beyond urban commuting. Its cruise speed surpasses 360 km/h—far outpacing ground transportation—significantly reducing travel time.
