On November 6, the Trade and Investment Matching Event of the 9th China International Import Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
Assistant Minister of Commerce Yuan Xiaoming, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce Shou Ziqi, and President of Bank Of China Limited (ASX: 601988) Zhang Hui delivered speeches; Deputy Director-General of the China International Import Expo Bureau Ge Hong and Deputy Director-General of the International Cooperation Department of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Wang Tong attended the event.
More than 600 exhibitors from 59 countries and regions, over 2,000 buyers, and representatives from various investment promotion agencies and industrial parks gathered by the Huangpu River to join the CIIE appointment.
This year's matching event, themed "Gathering at CIIE, Connecting the World," is anchored on "supporting higher-level opening-up." It continues the two traditional core segments of trade negotiation and investment promotion, focuses on the expo's distinctive features, and improves service quality and efficiency.
Serving client needs, connecting multilateral ties. Partners for matching negotiations were precisely recruited, and exhibitors and buyers were invited to conduct multiple rounds of "one-on-one" and "face-to-face" matchmaking. At the same time, based on the national and regional characteristics and needs of participating countries, country-specific sessions were held for countries such as Canada, the guest country of honor, to support targeted promotion and precise matching of supply and demand, making cross-border trade smoother.
Launching on-site procurement, deeply tapping supply and demand potential. In response to global exhibitors' expectation to share in China's huge market, buyers from industries such as agricultural food and consumer goods were specially invited for long-term on-site matching, engaging in in-depth negotiations with exhibitors and moving toward each other.
Opening wide the door to dialogue, gathering wisdom from all sides. For domestic and overseas parties including governments, banks, and enterprises, a multi-field collaborative exchange platform was created, and nearly 30 thematic closed-door exchange meetings were organized to build consensus through in-depth dialogue and generate business opportunities through practical consultation.
During the matching event, Bank Of China Limited (ASX: 601988) relied on its "one-point access, global response" mechanism to provide supporting comprehensive financial services, ensure the implementation of trade negotiation results, help industry matching become more precise, cross-border cooperation become deeper, and the service chain become more complete, and promote deep integration of trade negotiations, industrial cooperation, and financial services.
The Trade and Investment Matching Event is one of the important supporting activities of the CIIE. As the only "strategic partner" of the CIIE, Bank Of China Limited (ASX: 601988) has jointly hosted it for nine consecutive years with the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Relying on the "BOC e-Enterprise Win" global cross-border matchmaking platform to support enterprise negotiations and connections, the first eight matching events cumulatively served more than 36,000 exhibitors and buyers and facilitated more than 5,600 cooperation intentions.
Bank Of China Limited (ASX: 601988) will take this year's matching event as a new starting point, continue to build a financial bridge for cross-border economic and trade cooperation, and jointly write a new chapter of "beauty shared with all" with all parties.
