At the first supplier exchange summit of EAST BUY, founder Yu Minhong of New Oriental emphasized that while artificial intelligence may increasingly take over human jobs and skills, it can never replace the warmth, sincerity, and mutual support between people. He noted that genuine human interaction, creativity, and collective progress are beyond the reach of AI.

Yu Minhong stressed that EAST BUY aims to deliver not only top-quality products but also the warmest and most caring service. He expressed his belief that no matter how advanced AI becomes, human beings will always rely on one another. In his view, exceptional service means building trust, fostering emotional connections, encouraging interdependence, and offering assistance during challenging times.

Regarding long-termism, Yu Minhong clarified that it is not merely about stubbornly sticking to one path. Instead, it involves adhering to core values and applying one's talents and passions consistently to the services one provides. He shared that his personal long-term vision is to continually offer valuable services by leveraging his strengths and available resources.

Yu Minhong also reflected on the challenges faced over the past four years, acknowledging obstacles and setbacks but affirming that the original mission of EAST BUY—to select excellent products for the Chinese people—has never changed.
