The JD.com Smart Industrial Park project in Shunyi, Beijing, located in Dasungezhuang Town, has reached another critical milestone, with the main structure now fully completed. This next-generation intelligent logistics park is expected to be operational by July next year.
On-site, workers are applying fireproof coatings and constructing walls while machinery operates efficiently. At the southern construction site, tower cranes are in constant motion, blending the sounds of metal clashing from steel reinforcement with the hum of machinery. On the second-floor workspaces, workers are methodically building walls. Currently, the main structures of both the northern and southern zones are finished, with efforts now focused on advancing roof and wall construction. The logistics warehouses are already taking shape.
"The construction of all warehouses is progressing steadily as planned," said Wang Bing, the steel structure project lead. Warehouse No. 4 and No. 5 are 70% complete, with structural inspections scheduled for December and full enclosure expected by year-end. Warehouse No. 2 has completed its main steel structure installation and is projected to reach 80% completion by December.
The project team follows a "daily scheduling, weekly review" mechanism, ensuring progress through detailed milestone tracking. The JD.com Smart Industrial Park in Shunyi spans two zones, featuring three intelligent warehouses and supporting facilities across 114,000 square meters. As a next-gen supply chain-driven e-commerce and smart logistics hub, the park will integrate JD.com's settlement center, 5G, BeiDou navigation, and other smart technologies to develop digital supply chain solutions, alongside an emergency-consumption integrated distribution center.
Upon completion, the project will boost transportation, commerce, and related industries, injecting new momentum into Shunyi's economic growth.
**Supporting Infrastructure Advances in Parallel** While construction accelerates, supporting infrastructure is also progressing. The Yinjiafu 110kV substation is expected to be operational this year, providing stable power supply for the park. A small green space project has already been completed and opened to employees and nearby residents.
"Dasungezhuang Town is committed to becoming a 'smart logistics demonstration town, modern agricultural hub, and leisure tourism destination,' fully supporting this project," said Liu Chen, a town official. Once operational, the park will energize regional smart logistics development and stimulate economic activity. The town will continue providing high-quality services to foster an optimal investment environment.
