BEA (00023) Sets Second Interim Dividend at HKD 0.22; Scrip Alternative Priced at HKD 14.018

The Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA, stock code: 00023) has declared a second interim dividend of HKD 0.22 per share for the financial year ended 31 December 2025. Shareholders may elect to receive the distribution in cash or in new shares under a scrip dividend scheme.

Key terms of the distribution are as follows:

• Dividend type and amount: Second interim (ordinary) dividend of HKD 0.22 per share. • Scrip price: New shares offered at HKD 14.018 each, determined by reference to the market price in accordance with the scheme terms. • Election period: Shareholders must submit their choice by 16:00 on 2 April 2026. • Ex-dividend date: 3 March 2026. • Record date: 9 March 2026, following a book-closure period from 5 March to 9 March 2026. • Payment and allotment: Cash dividend payments and despatch of share certificates will occur on 13 April 2026; dealings in the scrip shares will commence on the same day.

Partial election is permitted. Fractional entitlements to scrip shares will be rounded down to the nearest whole share, with cash refunded for any remainder.

The default option is cash. No withholding tax applies to the declared dividend according to the announcement.

The board of directors, led by Executive Chairman Dr the Hon. Sir David Li Kwok-po, approved the distribution; shareholder approval is not required for this interim payment.
