On November 5, Kandi Technologies Group (referred to as "Kandi") officially announced the completion of key functional module development for its "Smart Delivery Robotic Dog Solution," based on the Unitree Lite3 robotic dog. The solution is now entering the pilot and commercial validation phase.
This year, Kandi has transitioned from a pure manufacturing enterprise to a technology-driven company, establishing a business framework centered on "North American off-road mobility products as the foundation, with intelligent robotics and energy-swapping equipment as growth drivers." The Kandi Smart Delivery Robotic Dog is one of the company’s innovative products developed in collaboration with Unitree, one of Hangzhou’s leading robotics firms. It addresses pain points in the logistics industry, such as high labor costs and limited delivery efficiency, potentially offering an efficient and sustainable supplementary solution for the express logistics sector.
Kandi’s robotic dog is equipped with a proprietary delivery box and an integrated hardware-software system, specifically designed for gated communities and office buildings. Once deployed, couriers can select the robotic dog via the system and input delivery addresses. Upon arrival, the robotic dog completes barcode authentication and voice interaction prompts, automatically opening the storage compartment for recipients to retrieve their packages before signaling closure. Currently, barcode verification, voice interaction, and automated storage modules have completed development and testing, while autonomous navigation and return functions are progressing as planned, aiming to achieve a full delivery cycle.
Kandi CEO Chen Feng stated that the diversified applications of robotic dogs can advance the company’s global strategy: "For instance, in Southeast Asia, we signed an agreement in early September with Indonesia’s largest digital ecosystem company, Goto Group, to explore last-mile delivery solutions using robotic dogs."
Chen Feng also emphasized that the Smart Delivery Robotic Dog Solution not only validates Kandi’s ability to integrate core AI technology with robotic platforms but also represents a successful collaboration with industry partners to ensure market-driven innovation and a clear commercialization roadmap from the outset.
"This reflects our accumulated expertise in smart mobility technology, system integration, and innovation capabilities, while highlighting our strategic foresight and market potential in the intelligent robotics sector. Moving forward, we will continue advancing R&D and application scenario innovation to fuel sustainable growth," Chen Feng added.
