What does modern agriculture look like? Mechanization, intelligence, and green practices are indispensable elements. Recently, the 14th Liaoning International Agricultural Expo held in Shenyang demonstrated a technology-rich "wind vane," showcasing everything from green biological fertilizers to AI agricultural machinery and digital management platforms, revealing the surging wave of deep integration between technology and agriculture.
In various exhibition scenes and details, "changes" emerged clearly, not only marking the agricultural expo's upgrade from a traditional "display venue" to a "driving force," but also conveying the hopes and explorations of all sectors regarding future agricultural development.
**"Black Technology" Amazes All Parties**
At this agricultural expo, cutting-edge technology made a dazzling debut, becoming the most eye-catching highlight. Inside the exhibition hall, a 300-horsepower "giant" agricultural machine with front tire diameter reaching 1.8 meters attracted significant attention. Numerous visitors gathered around, eagerly inquiring about product features and prices, with many taking photos and videos.
"This is an unmanned electric agricultural machine, also called an integrated land-air-space intelligent agricultural machine, developed jointly with an automotive technology company in Nanjing," said Li Shouzhong, a representative from Shenyang Shengke Yukuang Technology Co., Ltd. "This new product has just been launched to the market, and this agricultural expo is its debut. Currently, another machine is operating in the vast fields of Xinjiang with very ideal trial results."
The intelligent agricultural machine lacks a driver's cabin, replaced instead by intelligent sensing devices. Its "head" is equipped with laser radar, while millimeter-wave radar and cameras are installed around its body. Through Beidou satellite navigation and multi-sensor fusion perception incorporating visual radar, positioning accuracy reaches centimeter-level precision.
At the iFlytek booth, visitors were surprised to discover that AI can now raise pigs! Intelligent inspection rail robots, pig abnormal sound monitoring systems, and smart breeding production operation platforms brought cutting-edge technology to the breeding industry, making "unmanned farms" a major attraction.
The intelligent inspection rail robot moves slowly along tracks, with its mounted 3D camera acting like "sharp eyes," real-time capturing every movement of pigs, continuously updating information on weight, body temperature, and activity levels. This automatic data collection and abnormal warning device can achieve environmental perception, remote monitoring, audio analysis, video analysis, and AI recognition.
Additionally, the pig abnormal sound monitoring system can monitor and intelligently analyze pig sounds and pen environment control data 24 hours a day, detecting behaviors like coughing and sneezing, promptly notifying caretakers and providing response guidance. The system can provide early warning of respiratory diseases 2-3 days in advance and continuously monitor medication effectiveness, reducing drug costs and pig mortality rates.
"After collecting various parameters, the system can analyze pig growth and health conditions in real-time and accurately, providing corresponding feeding solutions, reducing human-pig contact, lowering biosafety risks, and achieving intelligent pig farm management," said He Di, Senior Customer Manager for iFlytek's Liaoning Region.
The numerous high-tech products gathered at the agricultural expo impressed many attendees. Xiao Yingnan, procurement manager from China Chemical Cold Chain Logistics Co., Ltd., said the intelligent weeding machine displayed on-site was particularly impressive, as it can identify weeds and intelligently eliminate them, solving agriculture's dependence on pesticides and the problems of high labor intensity and low efficiency in manual weeding, providing technological support for green agricultural production.
**"Agricultural Butler" Increases Income and Efficiency**
At the agricultural expo, a group of smart agricultural service providers also launched multiple mature applications in blockchain agricultural product traceability, agricultural Internet of Things sensing, and agricultural remote sensing monitoring. These technologies are widely serving high-standard farmland construction, agricultural product quality improvement, and agricultural low-carbon management, making "screen farming and data fertilization" a reality.
China Telecom's "5G + Smart Agriculture" cloud platform covers digital scenarios including intelligent irrigation, precision fertilization, and livestock breeding environment control, helping agricultural production leap toward refinement and intelligence.
Liu Da, Marketing Director of China Telecom Liaoning Branch's Government and Enterprise Information Business Group, said that as one of the core service applications, the Shennong No. 1 large model is trained on massive agricultural production data, providing intelligent agricultural services to practitioners including agricultural technical Q&A, pest and disease identification and prevention, and agricultural product price analysis and forecasting, solving problems such as agricultural production's dependence on personal experience, lack of technical personnel, and difficulties in promoting advanced agricultural technology.
As rural populations decrease, rising agricultural production labor costs and declining labor efficiency have become topics of concern for all parties. How to solve this problem? Centralized and intensive agricultural trusteeship models are gaining popularity.
Zhou Xiaoman, Operations Director of Liaoning Wanying Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., said that in promoting production trusteeship for rural "small-scale farmers," they have strengthened digital technology support and application. Their self-developed "Agricultural Digital Management System (ADMS)" can record the entire land trusteeship process, recording 7 operations, 13 stages, 33 steps, and 233 pieces of information, and relying on collected data to guide production more scientifically and effectively, increasing yield while reducing application costs for water, fertilizers, and pesticides.
This year, Wanying Agriculture managed nearly 400,000 acres of land, covering the three northeastern provinces, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, and eastern Inner Mongolia. Among more than 30,000 agricultural socialized organizations in the province, it ranks first in service area. Previous third-party yield measurements in Yushu City, Jilin, Dalian City, and Shenyang City showed yield increases of 9.53%, 26.2%, and 15.0% respectively compared to neighboring plots.
Focusing on agricultural fertilization effectiveness, Liaoning Zhongke Biology brought distinctive fertilizer enhancers. Staff explained that the key role of fertilizer enhancers is to help crops lock in fertilizer effectiveness, reduce fertilizer loss through various channels, thereby achieving the goal of reducing fertilizer application quantities and indirectly saving fertilizer costs in the production process.
At the agricultural expo, similar high-tech, high-technology content products emerged endlessly, releasing the vigorous vitality of technology empowering agriculture. Here, people feel not just the heat of an exhibition, but the strong pulse of agricultural modernization.
