Universe Entertainment and Culture Group Company Limited (Stock Code: 1046) released its 2025 Annual Report, reporting revenue of approximately HK$472.6 million for the year ended 30 June 2025, compared to approximately HK$365.3 million in the previous year. The annual net loss widened to about HK$63.4 million, against HK$31.2 million in the preceding year.
In a segment breakdown, the video distribution, film distribution and exhibition, and licensing and sub-licensing of film rights segment contributed revenue of HK$422.5 million, making up around 89.4% of total revenue. The trading, wholesaling, and retailing of optical and watch products hit HK$10.9 million in revenue. Financial printing services generated HK$36.6 million, while the Group’s investment properties segment recorded around HK$645,000 in rental income. Management attributed the net loss partly to a higher impairment of film-related assets.
The Board did not recommend a final dividend for 2025. As of 30 June 2025, the Group reported total assets of about HK$435.7 million, with net current assets of HK$73.5 million. Management re-emphasized its commitment to prudent cost control, diversified revenue streams, and ongoing monitoring of the macroeconomic environment.
