A delegation of 28 prominent Singaporean companies visited Anhui Province for a business exchange forum held in Hefei on March 10. The event, titled "Singapore Enterprises Anhui Tour," facilitated discussions on aligning Singapore's strengths in capital, technology, management, and talent with Anhui's advantages in industry, scientific innovation, industrial parks, and application scenarios. Participants included the Acting Consul-General of Singapore in Shanghai, the East China Regional Director of Enterprise Singapore, the head of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and 43 senior executives from the Singaporean firms.

CapLand IntCom T, a leading global real estate asset management company headquartered in Singapore, which has already established four projects in Hefei, expressed strong interest in Anhui's growth opportunities. A company representative highlighted potential collaboration in advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and biopharmaceuticals, and showed eagerness to explore commercial management services for industrial parks, seeking further cooperation tailored to the industrial characteristics of different cities within Anhui.

Yip Wai Hon, Global Strategy Executive President of Hongxin International, noted that visits to numerous Anhui enterprises were impressive, revealing the province's developmental vitality, industrial strength, and sincerity in partnership. He mentioned that specific cooperative negotiations are already underway, expressing high expectations for future outcomes.

Discussions during the forum emphasized the high compatibility, strong complementarity, and significant potential for synergy between Singapore and Anhui in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, new energy, new materials, modern services, and technological innovation. Hefei's designation as a National Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Opening Up the Service Sector in China was seen as opening new avenues for Singaporean investment in Anhui's modern service industries. Singapore's extensive global business network and developed high-end services were also recognized as providing solid support for Anhui companies seeking international resources and expanding into overseas markets.

As one of the world's most competitive economies, Singapore is renowned for its open, efficient, high-value-added, and resilient economy, hosting one of the busiest ports and air hubs globally. In recent years, Anhui has prioritized deepening economic and trade cooperation with Singapore. In 2025, the total import and export value of goods trade between Anhui and Singapore reached $1.54 billion, an increase of 11.4% year-on-year. To date, 188 Singaporean enterprises have established a presence in Anhui with cumulative investments of $2.6 billion, while 92 Anhui-based companies are operating in Singapore, forming an important force in the province's international cooperation. The China-Singapore Suzhou-Chuzhou High-Tech Industrial Park stands as a benchmark project, attracting a cluster of high-end Singaporean manufacturing firms such as Daoyi Precision and Advanced Semiconductor.

The provincial official stated that the platform was created to deeply integrate Singapore's advantages with Anhui's strengths, fostering the implementation and success of more high-quality projects. He expressed hope that Singaporean capital would act as a catalyst for Anhui's industrial upgrade and that more Singaporean entrepreneurs would invest and establish roots in the province, continuing a story of mutual development and shared success.
