Mianbi Intelligence announced the completion of a new multi-billion-yuan financing round. The investment was led by CHINA TELECOM, with participation from CITIC Jinshi and CITIC Private Equity. As a strategic investor, CHINA TELECOM will engage in deep business collaboration with Mianbi Intelligence. CHINA TELECOM will leverage its strengths in cloud computing, networks, and end-user devices, while Mianbi Intelligence will contribute its algorithm implementation experience across sectors such as legal services, automotive, and education. Through complementary advantages, the partnership aims to expand the research, development, and application of AI technology in more complex scenarios.
A representative from CHINA TELECOM's investment arm stated, "CHINA TELECOM is fully implementing its 'Cloud Transformation, Digital Shift, Intelligence for All' strategy, building an integrated intelligent cloud system encompassing computing power, platforms, data, models, and applications. Mianbi Intelligence’s focus on enhancing model 'intelligence density' and developing lightweight solutions for edge devices aligns closely with the vision of building an 'AI-native' cloud-network infrastructure. We hope this strategic investment will lead to comprehensive and deepened cooperation between CHINA TELECOM and Mianbi. We look forward to combining the strengths of both parties to explore greater scenario-based value in government and enterprise services, as well as smart devices, accelerating the adoption of AI across industries."
Mianbi Intelligence CEO Li Dahai commented, "The long-distance race toward AGI has reached its middle stage. More investors are recognizing the commercial value of highly efficient large models, and we are keenly aware of the explosive growth of AI at the edge this year. Mianbi will continue to prioritize increasing the knowledge density of models as a foundational principle, adhering to open-source ideals to deliver high-performance, lightweight models that empower every terminal with AGI capabilities for the physical world."
