Vicor Corporation's stock plummeted 5.68% during Tuesday's intraday trading session, following the release of its second-quarter financial results.

The decline came after the company reported earnings for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, with adjusted earnings per share of $1.04, beating the average analyst estimate of $0.64. Revenue also exceeded expectations, coming in at $143.35 million compared to the estimated $138.38 million.

Despite the earnings beat, investors reacted negatively as the company's income from operations decreased to $34.9 million from $45.4 million in the same period last year. Gross margin as a percentage of revenue also declined year-over-year to 58.0% from 65.3%, which included a one-time patent litigation settlement in the prior year period. The stock had already fallen 39.2% during the quarter leading up to the earnings release.
