On September 22, Bank of China Chairman Ge Haijiao held a working meeting with Agricultural Development Bank of China Chairman Zhan Dongsheng at Bank of China headquarters, jointly witnessing the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions. Bank of China President Zhang Hui, Party Committee Member Liu Chenggang, and Chief Risk Officer Zhao Rong, along with Agricultural Development Bank of China President Zhang Xiaodong, Vice President Wu Tao, and Strategic Director Du Yankun participated in the event.

Ge Haijiao welcomed Zhan Dongsheng and his delegation, expressing gratitude for the Agricultural Development Bank of China's continued support and trust. He noted that the Agricultural Development Bank of China serves as the country's only agricultural policy bank, and both institutions are important members of China's "financial national team." The two banks have maintained close interaction with complementary advantages, achieving fruitful cooperation results in recent years across key areas including institutional credit, bond investment, trade financing, and bill discounting. Taking this signing ceremony as an opportunity, he hoped both parties would continue to collaborate in enhancing service quality and efficiency for rural revitalization, exploring deeper business opportunities in Belt and Road Initiative construction, and expanding cooperation scope in capital markets. This would channel more financial resources toward key areas of economic development, effectively establishing a new benchmark for financial institution cooperation and demonstrating greater contributions to building a strong agricultural and financial nation.

Zhan Dongsheng highly praised the long-term cooperation achievements between the two institutions. He stated that since its establishment 30 years ago, the Agricultural Development Bank of China has consistently upheld the mission of supporting agriculture for the nation and serving the people. The bank's policy function has been continuously strengthened, making positive contributions to serving national strategies and rural development.
