The National Advanced Private Enterprises in Employment and Social Security and the Commendation Conference for Caring for Employees and Achieving Win-Win Outcomes were recently held in Beijing. It was learned that multiple private enterprises and individuals from Beijing received honors.
Private enterprises are the primary creators of jobs, important cultivators of skilled talent, and direct protectors of employee rights. Among the list of 100 "National Advanced Private Enterprises in Employment and Social Security," three Beijing-based companies—Beijing Jingdong Century Trade Co., Ltd. (JD.com), Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Sankuai Network Technology Co., Ltd. (Meituan)—were honored.
Taking JD.com as an example, the company employs 900,000 full-time staff, including over 4,000 employees with disabilities and more than 600,000 couriers, with over 80% hailing from rural areas. JD.com provides social security and housing fund contributions for all employees, continuously makes large-scale investments to establish an "Employee Assistance Fund" that has helped thousands of front-line workers overcome difficulties, and has cumulatively invested 22 billion yuan over the past 20 years to improve employee housing conditions.
Xiaomi has also actively promoted the signing of company-wide collective contracts and an Employee Handbook, covering over 50,000 employees company-wide with a 100% labor contract signing rate, while also providing 100% coverage of supplementary commercial insurance and free health check-ups for full-time employees. To help new graduates settle down securely after leaving school, Xiaomi spent three years building over 3,000 high-quality youth apartments in Beijing and Nanjing, offering them at considerate prices specifically for recent graduates.
Among Meituan's delivery riders, 80% come from rural areas, with 636,000 riders originating from nationally designated key assistance counties, and the company has also integrated over 10,000 riders with disabilities. Meituan took the lead in launching a pilot for new occupational injury protection; by the end of December 2025, it had provided coverage for over 16.68 million rider instances cumulatively, with related premium volumes reaching 2.56 billion yuan. By November 2025, Meituan's pension insurance subsidies had achieved nationwide coverage.
The trade union of Beijing Sanyue Culture Communication Co., Ltd. was honored as a "National Advanced Enterprise Trade Union in Mutual Love and Mutual Evaluation." The company's trade union fully leverages its role as a bridge connecting the Party with the workforce, focusing on building stable, harmonious, and mutually beneficial labor relations. The enterprise signs collective contracts on schedule, achieves 100% coverage of the "five social insurances and one housing fund," has steadily increased salaries for all employees for 22 consecutive years, and has a trade union membership rate of 97%.
Additionally, Yang Yuanqing, Chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, was honored as an "Outstanding National Private Entrepreneur for Caring for Employees." Under his leadership, Lenovo Group adheres to a people-oriented development philosophy, constructing a comprehensive, multi-level system for employee care and professional empowerment.
Zhen Youmei, a Technical Manager at Beijing Shengshi Runhe Ecological Construction Co., Ltd., was honored as an "Outstanding National Employee for Loving Their Enterprise." A graduate in Landscape Architecture from Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology, Zhen Youmei joined Beijing Shengshi Runhe Ecological Construction Co., Ltd. in 2016 and has since dedicated herself wholeheartedly to nursery work. Embracing her role with passion and expertise, she has diligently researched the selection and breeding of elm species and the pruning of shaped trees, mastering key technologies in frontline nursery production. Over the years, she has participated in drafting group standards such as the "Specifications for Seedling Procurement Management" and the Beijing local standard "Specifications for the Establishment and Management of Germplasm Resource Nurseries for Landscaping Tree Species," contributing her professionalism and enthusiasm to the high-quality development of Beijing's landscaping and rural revitalization.
