BIDU-SW Surges Nearly 5% as Luobo Kuaipao Partners with Uber to Expand Global Robotaxi Services

Baidu Group-SW (09888) rose nearly 5% during Hong Kong trading, climbing 4.73% to HK$91.85 by press time with turnover reaching HK$171 million. The surge follows Luobo Kuaipao's announcement of a strategic partnership with Uber Technologies (UBER) to deploy autonomous ride-hailing services across global markets including the United States.

Under this landmark agreement, thousands of Luobo Kuaipao's driverless vehicles will integrate into Uber's worldwide mobility network, delivering accessible and reliable autonomous transportation solutions. Baidu founder Robin Li characterized the collaboration as "a crucial milestone" in Luobo Kuaipao's international expansion strategy, emphasizing the joint commitment to "providing safe, efficient mobility options globally."

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi highlighted Uber's unique positioning as the world's largest mobility platform to rapidly scale Luobo Kuaipao's autonomous technology across international markets. This alliance accelerates Baidu's autonomous driving ambitions beyond mainland China while granting Uber strategic access to cutting-edge robotaxi technology.
