Fliggy Becomes First Platform to Integrate Amap's "Street Scanning Rankings," Boosting Conversion Potential for Travel Merchants

Following its successful venture into instant retail, Alibaba has unveiled another strategic initiative. On September 10th, marking Alibaba's 26th anniversary, Amap announced the launch of the world's first user behavior-driven ranking system called "Amap Street Scanning Rankings," targeting offline store visit scenarios.

The core concept of "Amap Street Scanning Rankings" leverages user "behavior + creditworthiness" to create an authentic, manipulation-resistant ranking system. According to announcements at Amap's launch event, Fliggy has become the first platform to adopt the Amap Street Scanning Rankings.

Starting immediately, users searching for hotels and attractions through the Fliggy app and the Fliggy primary entrance on Taobao's homepage will notice additional labels beyond the usual price, service features, membership benefits, and booking popularity indicators. These new markers include "Selected for 2025 [Location] Hotel/Scenic Area Champion List" and "[Location] Hotel/Scenic Area Street Scanning Rankings No. X" identifiers. Users can also access dedicated "Hotel Street Scanning Rankings" and "Attraction Street Scanning Rankings" pages through Fliggy's "Rankings Zone."

The "Amap Street Scanning Rankings" incorporates massive volumes of authentic travel data from users who "vote with their feet," representing a unique advantage over conventional ranking products. After obtaining user authorization, the system will introduce Sesame Credit from Alipay for the first time, combining user credit levels to weight trustworthy reviews and utilizing AI risk control to effectively identify and filter fake and noise evaluations. This provides consumers with more reliable reference guidance while helping merchants escape the forced "rat race" of manipulated ratings, allowing them to return to high-quality service delivery.

Fliggy's newly launched hotel and attraction street scanning rankings fully incorporate tourism industry patterns and consumer characteristics, with updates based on Fliggy's actual transactions, popularity metrics, and Amap Street Scanning Rankings heat data. Following the rankings' launch, Fliggy users will have access to richer reference information for bookings, helping merchants further enhance conversion rates and achieve new order growth.

On June 23rd, Alibaba Group announced that Ele.me and Fliggy would join Alibaba's China E-commerce Business Group. On August 6th, Taobao launched a "Fliggy" entrance at the top of its app homepage, positioned alongside tabs like "Flash Purchase" and "National Subsidy." On the same day, Taobao introduced a comprehensive new membership system, where Taobao Premium members can directly access Fliggy membership benefits and receive travel privileges corresponding to their Fliggy membership tier.
