On November 10, 2025, to advance the Chengdu-Leshan Expressway expansion project, SICHUAN EXPRESS (00107) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Chengdu-Leshan Expressway Company (Cheng-Le Company), signed a temporary road occupation compensation agreement with Chengdu Ring Expressway West Company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Cheng-Le Company will pay Chengdu Ring Expressway West Company a compensation fee of RMB 6.5725 million (tax inclusive) for temporary road occupation related to the G0512 Chengdu-Leshan Expressway expansion project. This compensates for the road asset losses incurred during construction involving the Chengdu Ring Expressway (G4202).

The Chengdu-Leshan Expressway expansion is Sichuan Province’s first cross-city eight-lane expressway and the first large-scale "four-to-eight-lane" commercial expressway expansion project. Spanning 136.124 kilometers, the project includes three service areas and 17 toll stations, with a total investment of approximately RMB 25.1 billion. It consists of three segments: a new parallel section, an original road widening section, and a Leshan urban bypass section.

The new parallel section features eight lanes in both directions, stretching from the Sichuan-Tibet Interchange on Chengdu’s Third Ring Road to Qinglongchang on the Chengdu-Ya’an Expressway, covering 41.458 kilometers. The original road widening section expands the existing Chengdu-Leshan Expressway to eight lanes, extending to Guliba in Leshan’s central district and connecting to the Leshan-Yibin Expressway over 86.164 kilometers. The Leshan urban bypass section, with six lanes in both directions, runs 8.502 kilometers from the Mianzhu North Interchange across the Qingyi River to the Leshan-Ya’an Expressway.

According to construction plans, the project’s main line at K5+629 will include a new interchange over the Chengdu Ring Expressway. Construction requires temporary occupation of emergency lanes, shoulders, outer lanes, median strips, and other sections of the Chengdu Ring Expressway. To ensure smooth progress, Cheng-Le Company entered into this compensation agreement with Chengdu Ring Expressway West Company.
