FINGERTANGO (06860) announced its interim results for 2025, reporting revenue of approximately HK$212 million, representing a 35.5% decrease year-on-year. The company's profit attributable to owners was approximately HK$4.4 million, down 52.4% compared to the same period last year, with earnings per share of HK$0.0023.
According to the announcement, the revenue decline was primarily attributed to a combination of the following factors: (i) strategic reduction in advertising and promotional spending, resulting in reduced scale of user acquisition and promotional activities; and (ii) classic games that have been operating for many years entering a mature phase, with their revenue naturally declining, leading to slower monetization.
The decrease in profit was mainly due to the combined impact of the following factors: (i) reduced gross profit resulting from revenue contraction; (ii) decrease in net other income, gains or losses; (iii) increased administrative expenses; (iv) significant reduction in sales and marketing expenses due to resource allocation optimization; and (v) increased research and development expenses.
During the reporting period, average monthly active users decreased to approximately 1.4 million, down about 73.0% year-on-year, primarily due to reduced marketing spending and the gaming product portfolio entering a mature phase. As of June 30, 2025, the total cumulative registered users maintained steady growth, reaching approximately 264.9 million, representing an increase of about 3.8% compared to the same period last year.
