On August 31, internet users reported that Baidu Maps has been forcibly inserting advertisements during the ride-hailing process, with the close button designed to be extremely inconspicuous, causing inconvenience to users.

According to screenshots shared by users, after using Baidu Maps for ride-hailing services, advertisements appeared at the bottom of the interface without any obvious way to close them. The button to close these ads was actually located in the upper right corner of the interface, not only marked in dark gray that almost blended into the background, but also positioned above a promotional entry for "Claim 30 Yuan Discount," which could mislead users into thinking the close button was not meant for closing the advertisement.

When contacted about this matter, Baidu Maps has not yet provided an official response.
