On August 28th, the "2025 China Private Enterprise 500 List" was officially released, with multiple private banks and insurance institutions including Taikang Insurance and Minsheng Bank making the list.
In the insurance sector, Taikang Insurance Group Co., Ltd. ranked 19th with total revenue of 327.064 billion yuan; Sunshine Insurance Group Co., Ltd. ranked 115th with revenue of 90.145 billion yuan; Guohua Life Insurance Co., Ltd. ranked 299th with revenue of 41.485 billion yuan.
In the banking sector, China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd. ranked 66th with revenue of 136.290 billion yuan; Shenzhen Qianhai WeBank Co., Ltd. ranked 340th with revenue of 38.128 billion yuan.
According to reports, this year the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce conducted its 27th large-scale private enterprise survey, with 6,379 companies having operating revenues of over 1 billion yuan in 2024 participating. The top 500 companies by operating revenue constitute the "2025 China Private Enterprise 500."
The entry threshold for this year's private enterprise top 500 increased to 27.023 billion yuan; total operating revenue reached 43.05 trillion yuan; combined net profit was 1.80 trillion yuan; total R&D expenses amounted to 1.13 trillion yuan, with a total of 1.1517 million R&D personnel and an average R&D investment intensity of 2.77%; total tax payments reached 1.27 trillion yuan, with 240 companies paying over 1 billion yuan in taxes, accounting for 48.00% of the top 500.
