CMGE (00302) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, reporting revenue of RMB 763 million, down 38.13% year-on-year. The company recorded a net loss attributable to shareholders of RMB 639 million, representing an increase of 170.32% compared to the same period last year.
According to the announcement, the group's mini-game "Spring and Autumn Mystique" launched during the reporting period delivered outstanding revenue performance, gaining recognition from both the market and players. The group also successfully launched several major IP-based games overseas, including "Battle Through the Heavens: Peerless," "Douluo Continent: Shrek Academy," and "Douluo Continent: Reverse Time and Space," which significantly boosted overseas revenue.
However, the newly launched games "Three Thousand Fantasy Worlds" and "Daily Life of Chat Groups" failed to meet revenue expectations during the reporting period. Although "New Romance of the Three Kingdoms: Cao Cao's Biography," which went live on June 27, 2025, achieved favorable ranking positions, its contribution to revenue was limited due to the short operating period within the reporting timeframe.
Additionally, the IP license for the group's previously successful game "New Legend of the Condor Heroes: Iron Blood and Loyal Heart" expired, and operations were terminated in 2024 following amicable negotiations with partners, resulting in no revenue contribution during the current reporting period. These combined factors led to the decline in game publishing revenue.
