KNOWLEDGE ATLAS's stock surged 8.77% during intraday trading following the company's announcement of its latest flagship artificial intelligence model, GLM-5.
The open-source GLM-5 model features enhanced coding capabilities and the ability to perform long-running agent tasks, with the company stating its performance approaches rival Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.5 in coding benchmark tests. The model was developed using domestically manufactured chips, including Huawei's Ascend chip, aligning with China's push for chip self-sufficiency in AI development.
KNOWLEDGE ATLAS has open-sourced the GLM-5 model weights and upgraded its GLM Coding Plan service to offer users an Agentic Engineering experience, including official adaptation for OpenClaw to enable rapid configuration of Agent workflows. The release comes amid intense competition in China's AI sector, with multiple domestic companies unveiling new models ahead of the Lunar New Year festival.
