Data from Meituan indicates that from New Year's Eve on February 16th to the seventh day of the Lunar New Year on February 23rd, instant retail orders for holiday gifts in county-level regions increased by approximately 30% year-on-year. Electronics, alcoholic beverages, and premium fruits, closely associated with gift-giving and social gatherings, ranked as the top three categories by sales volume, emerging as the "new trio" of Spring Festival consumption in county areas this year. Among these, sales of smart watches surged sixfold compared to the same period last year, while sales of mobile phones and tablets doubled. Premium fruits such as durian and blueberries saw increases of up to three times. Sales of baijiu and imported spirits also doubled year-on-year.

A representative from Meituan's下沉 instant retail market division stated that Spring Festival data demonstrates that the concept of instant consumption has become widespread across county-level cities and towns nationwide. People have grown accustomed to placing real-time orders while visiting relatives, attending reunion gatherings, or traveling during the holidays, effectively achieving "gifts arriving as people reach their destination." Furthermore, as instant delivery network infrastructure continues to improve in central and western regions, the potential of local instant consumption markets is being effectively unlocked.

Data reveals that the ten county-level cities with the fastest growth in instant retail order volume during the Spring Festival period were all located in central and western regions, including Xinjiang, Tibet, Gansu, Qinghai, Guangxi, Chongqing, and Guizhou. Among them, Atux City in Xinjiang experienced growth exceeding three times year-on-year, while Bobai County in Guangxi and Yunmeng County in Hubei also achieved double-digit growth rates.
