STARPLUS LEGEND (06683.HK), referred to as the "Jay Chou concept stock," announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, STARPLUS CULTURE, has signed a sales contract with Taiwan-based ADATA Technology. Under the agreement, ADATA will act as a distributor to purchase 1,000 quadruped robots from STARPLUS CULTURE, with a total value exceeding RMB 20 million.
Unitree Technology will be responsible for the product's technical and hardware development, production, and related application software R&D. Testing is expected to be completed this year, with mass production scheduled for early next year.
STARPLUS LEGEND stated that the signing of the sales contract marks a substantial advancement in the company's efforts to integrate intellectual property (IP) into quadruped robotics, accelerating the commercialization of such products. This move further expands the application scope of the company's IP, enhancing its industrial scalability and monetization potential, aligning with STARPLUS LEGEND's strategic IP business direction. The board believes this contract will support stable sales of IP-related products in the company's daily operations and aligns with its long-term growth.
In July, STARPLUS LEGEND announced a global strategic partnership with Unitree, initially focusing on the development and commercialization of companion-oriented and socially interactive quadruped robotic dogs/robots (including but not limited to entertainment applications). The collaboration aims to create consumer-grade robotic products with strong IP attributes.
STARPLUS LEGEND specializes in IP creation and operation, with its core strength lying in developing star-driven iconic IPs. Centered around Mandopop superstar Jay Chou and renowned fitness coach Liu Genghong, the company has successfully built two flagship IPs—CHOUCHOU, Jay Chou's official anime-inspired virtual avatar, and Coach Liu. Together with its other IPs, these two core assets have amassed a global fanbase of 280 million, solidifying STARPLUS LEGEND's strong position in the global entertainment industry. Since its launch in 2019, the CHOUCHOU IP has collaborated with over 200 brands worldwide, generating cumulative licensed merchandise sales exceeding RMB 1 billion.
