The significant price appreciation comes after the company reported adjusted earnings of $0.53 per diluted share for Q4 2025, exceeding analyst estimates of $0.51. This represents an increase from $0.37 per share reported in the same quarter a year earlier. The company also posted net interest income of $66.2 million for the quarter.
Further fueling investor optimism, Chimera's Board of Directors announced a substantial increase in its quarterly common stock dividend. The first-quarter 2026 dividend was declared at $0.45 per share, a notable rise from the $0.37 per share paid in the fourth quarter of 2025.
