ND PAPER (02689) surged over 4%, and as of press time, the stock was up 4.63% to HK$4.52, with a turnover of HK$42.99 million.
On the news front, ND PAPER has officially signed a 6 billion yuan integrated pulp-paper intelligent factory project with Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park. According to reports, Southwest China has strong demand for paper packaging but has long been constrained by raw material shortages. The high logistics costs of imported pulp and the lack of local large-scale green pulp sources have become bottlenecks restricting the development of the regional paper industry.
ND PAPER's strategic move directly addresses industry pain points through an "integrated pulp-paper" model. The first phase will construct a 700,000-ton green pulp production line to achieve raw material self-sufficiency. The second phase plans a 1 million-ton high-grade paper production line to complete the industrial chain closed loop. The project benefits from intelligent logistics support, being located adjacent to the Yangtze River freight terminal.
Jiangjin, as Chongqing's industrial powerhouse, hosts over 5,000 enterprises with an industrial clustering rate of 98.4%. The district has formed a complete industrial chain from waste paper recycling and papermaking to packaging finished products. Local waste paper annual supply alone exceeds one million tons, and the supporting enterprise clusters reduce transportation costs by 20%.
The hub advantage provides additional benefits: leveraging the main hub position of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, Jiangjin's multimodal transportation system of "water-road-rail" geometrically amplifies the company's radiation radius.
