ENN Energy: BlackRock Adds 8.26 Million Shares, Stake Climbs to 6.59% During Privatisation Process

On 20 March 2026, ENN Energy Holdings Ltd. disclosed that BlackRock, Inc.—classified as a Class (6) associate of the offeree company—significantly increased its holding in the Hong Kong-listed utility during trading on 19 March 2026.

BlackRock executed two transactions on a U.S. exchange for discretionary investment clients:

1. Sold 32 shares at USD 65.50 each, leaving a post-sale balance of 66.29 million shares, or 5.86 % of ENN Energy’s issued share capital. 2. Purchased 8.26 million shares, also at USD 65.50 per share, lifting its resultant holding to 74.55 million shares, equivalent to 6.59 % of the company’s outstanding shares.

The trades were reported under Rule 22 of the Hong Kong Code on Takeovers and Mergers as part of ENN Energy’s ongoing privatisation by way of scheme of arrangement. All dealings were conducted on behalf of BlackRock’s discretionary clients.
