On March 10, Midea Group introduced its comprehensive whole-home smart strategy during the 2026 Midea Smart Home event. The plan centers on a "Three Ones" framework designed to enhance home intelligence, with a focus on using AI to develop a "truly thoughtful, perceptive, and proactive smart home."
The "Three Ones" strategy includes building a more extensive smart home appliance network, developing a smarter home AI brain, and creating a more diverse open smart platform. Currently, Midea has 500 million connected appliances across all product categories, with 130 million units equipped with smart sensors. These products serve 150 million households in China, forming a smart home network that covers living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, balconies, and other spaces.
In terms of AI capabilities, Midea has upgraded from individual smart devices to system-wide proactive intelligence and multi-agent collaboration. Leveraging multi-dimensional sensing, advanced reasoning, and personalized data analysis, Midea's home intelligence system can perform unified scheduling and optimal decision-making based on household data, setting a new "home autopilot" standard. The upgraded "Xiao Mei" smart assistant will also feature a more vivid persona and natural interaction, offering proactive services through the Midea Smart Home App, which has over 23 million monthly active users.
