UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer unveiled a new strategy on Monday focused on building sovereign computing capabilities. The plan involves a commitment of approximately £400 million (US$533 million) to acquire specialized 人工智能 chips and bolster domestic startup companies.
"We will harness the power of public procurement to support the UK's spirit of innovation," Starmer stated during a speech at London Tech Week on Monday.
