Lei Jun Posts Teacher's Day Greetings

On September 10, Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of XIAOMI-W, posted on Weibo to extend holiday greetings to teachers. Lei Jun mentioned that the Xiaomi Young Scholar Program, funded by the Xiaomi Foundation, was established in 2022 with a planned donation of 500 million yuan. The program currently covers 30 universities and has cumulatively supported 807 young teachers.

According to reports, the Xiaomi Foundation was established in 2019 through donations from XIAOMI-W and operates as a local non-public fundraising foundation. Since its establishment, the foundation has cumulatively donated and disbursed 650 million yuan, with future planned donation amounts reaching 1.89 billion yuan.
