According to an announcement by WATER INDUSTRY (01129), on October 23, 2025, its indirect non-wholly-owned subsidiary PT Blondo Lestari Energi (PT Blondo) entered into a cooperation agreement with the government of Semarang Regency. The agreement pertains to the implementation, management, and operation of a waste treatment system covering an area of 69,688 square meters at the Blondo final disposal site in northern Central Java, Indonesia. The project aims to enhance the quality of public services in the environmental sector by utilizing methane gas as a power source for electricity generation (waste treatment project), thereby promoting economic growth through the development of the waste treatment industry and addressing the waste issues faced by Semarang Regency.

The cooperation agreement seeks to integrate the strengths of the group with the resources of the Semarang Regency government to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of waste management and tackle the waste challenges the local government is facing. By using landfill gas as a resource for power generation, the waste treatment project will not only address local waste management challenges and improve sanitation but will also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions annually.

Once the waste treatment facilities are completed and operational at the disposal site, it is expected that the project will provide stable renewable energy for Semarang Regency, supporting Indonesia’s national emission reduction targets and energy transition, while also expanding the group’s revenue sources and achieving sustainable business growth. The board believes that the cooperation agreement presents a valuable opportunity for both parties to combine their resources and expertise, creating a mutually beneficial synergy. This agreement also marks a significant step for the group in overseas greenfield development, representing an important milestone in the company's strategic transformation and demonstrating its commitment to green development and supporting the Indonesian government's renewable energy transition efforts.
