IDX Reports Sharia Stock Investor Transactions Reach Rp3.3 Trillion

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) revealed that the transaction value of sharia investors in the Indonesian stock market reached Rp3.3 trillion as of June 2025, accounting for more than half of the total sharia investor transactions in 2025, which stood at Rp5.5 trillion.

The value of Rp3.3 trillion in transactions originated from 16,369 active investors, not from the total of 185,766 investors. Head of the IDX's Sharia Capital Market Division, Irwan Abdalloh, stated that the value came from 16,369 active investors who transacted Rp3.3 trillion. This was disclosed during a Journalist Education Session regarding the Development Update of the Sharia Capital Market in Jakarta on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Furthermore, by June 2025, the transaction volume of Sharia investors (stocks) reached 7.3 billion, with a frequency of Sharia investor transactions reaching 972 thousand.

Meanwhile, by June 2025, the active Sharia investor ratio (stocks) was recorded at 12.8 percent of the total active stock market investors in Indonesia.

The capitalization of Sharia stocks amounted to Rp8.158 trillion by June 2025, or 62 percent of the total capitalization of the Indonesian stock market, which reached Rp13.172 trillion.

Meanwhile, the number of Sharia stocks recorded totaled 657 by June 2025, accounting for 69 percent of the total 956 stocks in the Indonesian stock market.

The Sharia stock market share has been evenly distributed across various economic sectors in Indonesia. These include the non-primary consumer goods sector with a 17 percent market share, the primary consumer goods sector at 14 percent, raw materials at 14 percent, the energy sector at 12 percent, and the property sector at 11 percent.

Additionally, the industrial sector is at 9 percent; the infrastructure sector, 8 percent; the technology sector, 5 percent; the transportation and logistics sector, 4 percent; the health sector, 6 percent; and the financial sector, 1 percent.
