Asante Gold Corporation has successfully closed its previously announced bought deal private placement, raising C$236,785,000 through the issuance of 163,300,000 subscription receipts at C$1.45 each. This offering, which includes full exercise of the option granted to underwriters, allows holders to receive one common share of the company per subscription receipt upon meeting specified conditions. The financing package includes US$175 million from Appian Capital Advisory Ltd. and a US$170 million commitment from FirstRand Bank Limited. Appian's participation involves allocations to a Senior Debt Facility, a Subordinated Debt Facility, a Gold Stream, and an equity subscription. Appian will also receive common share purchase warrants equal to 2.0% of Asante's shares on a fully-diluted basis. FirstRand's participation includes credit, underwriting commitments, hedging lines, and an environmental guarantee.
