BlockBeats News, June 27th, Nick Timiraos, a reporter from The Wall Street Journal known as the "Fed Whisperer," wrote that, based on economists' estimates of mapping CPI and PPI to PCE, the core inflation rate for May is expected to remain low for the third consecutive month.

Core PCE estimate: +0.15% (even lower in May 2024, so the year-over-year growth rate will rise to 2.6%);

Total Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE): +0.12% (affected by base effects, year-over-year increase to 2.3%).

The U.S. May core PCE price index annual rate will be announced tonight at 20:30, with many institutions generally expecting a value of +2.6%.
