Metaplanet raised $515 million through a new stock issuance to increase its Bitcoin holdings.

BlockBeats News, June 25th, Japanese listed company Metaplanet announced that it has issued 54 million shares for the first time through the exercise of the 20th series of stock warrants, successfully raising 74.9 billion yen (approximately $515 million) in equity capital to purchase more Bitcoin. This issuance accounts for 29% of the company's warrants, with approximately 1.31 million warrants (approximately 131 million shares) remaining to be exercised.

Previously, Metaplanet planned to issue a total of 555 million new shares (92% of the outstanding shares) to raise $5.4 billion for Bitcoin acquisitions.
