BlockBeats News, June 25, according to The Block, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said in a podcast appearance that by the end of 2025, the company will become the largest Bitcoin mining enterprise.
Reportedly, the stablecoin issuer Tether's team is less than 200 people, but in 2024, it generated about $13 billion in profit. In recent years, the company has invested heavily to actively enter several other areas, including artificial intelligence, telecommunications, data centers, energy infrastructure, and Bitcoin mining.
Ardoino stated that Tether's Bitcoin mining ambition is not merely for commercial gain but more of a strategic fit with its core asset exposure. Ardoino recently revealed that the company holds over 100,000 BTC and needs to join a "Bitcoin mining security team" to help protect its over $10 billion Bitcoin investment.
