BlockBeats News, June 24th, Aptos Labs teamed up with Jump Crypto to officially release Shelby, a high-performance, decentralized hot storage network designed for Web3 real-time applications, covering scenarios such as streaming media, AI data, social platforms, and DePIN.
Through global high-performance nodes, fiber backbone, and on-chain programmable architecture, Shelby achieves cloud-level read and write speed and reliability, breaking the centralization and performance bottlenecks of traditional Web2 services. It features sub-second response time, pay-as-you-go billing, Token gating, DRM, smart contract permission control, and dynamic pricing capabilities.
Projects such as Metaplex, Story Protocol, Pipe Network will be the first to integrate, and NBCUniversal also plans to adopt Shelby in streaming media scenarios, further validating the potential of its cross-chain real-time infrastructure.
The Shelby developer testnet (Devnet) is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, supporting multi-chain ecosystems such as Aptos, Ethereum, Solana, and more.
