BlockBeats News, June 5th, according to official sources, GoPlus Security issued a security alert. Recently, a new phishing attack targeting EIP-7702 Smart Accounts has once again appeared on the Ethereum mainnet, BNB Chain, and Base Chain. Within just 3 days of going live, thousands of addresses have been affected, with losses exceeding $10,000 in crypto assets.

The attacker uses one address for authorization phishing. Once a user authorizes, this address can automatically transfer any subsequently received BNB or other tokens away.

The GoPlus security team reminds users: never transfer funds or authorize transactions to unfamiliar addresses. The current 7702 scam is leveraging historically leaked private key addresses for large-scale phishing attacks, so it is essential to remain vigilant.
